Nicholas Chadderton (1961, Cambridge, England) is a photographer/filmmaker living and working in Melbourne.

Chadderton spent his formative years in Southern California, then a decade in Copenhagen. This polyglot upbringing seeded the foundation of his visual style, which is grounded in mid-century modernism and minimalism. The world of neo-noir film is another significant influence.

Beneath an apparent surface of visual beauty there lies existential angst and many of his images centre on the motif of a solitary individual, emerging from shadow, rendered anonymous by the urban landscape.
