Botanical and Natural History Art is the place where science and art meet, although from the beginning I have found myself wanting to go beyond the purely scientific portrayal of diagnostic details. At the same time as recognizing the importance of the science I feel I also have to recognize an emotional element in the activity both in my perception of the subject and the resonance the work evokes in the viewer.
